Schollab helps undergraduate college students be more productive with their time and get real time answers to relevant questions in order to do better in school. This is done by automating prioritization, presenting a holistic overview of things to do, displaying relevant peer activity, and adding motivation to be time efficient. College students in particular tend to struggle with procrastination, poor planning and distractions. As students, we all have those friends who save everything for the last minute, never know what the homework is, or are constantly getting distracted by social media. College is a unique four-year experience, unlike the workplace, where a group of people each perform the exact same tasks at the same time, and this app provides value to college students by utilizing this phenomenon. We have four unique solutions to this problem: 1. By building on existing LMS information (Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle...) that’s publically available and making a collaborative environment, the entire class will always know when something is due. 2. By knowing every task for each class, we can track students’ progress and use big data analytics to provide suggestions on prioritization. 3. By displaying peer activity on a social feed, students can be motivated by their peers to complete tasks while also allowing them to help each other and reach out to others for help. 4. By incorporating gamification, students can receive positive motivation for the work they complete which will help them be more efficient.
