haPENNings is an event discovery app for the University of Pennsylvania community, helping connect you to what is haPENNing on campus! DISCOVER: Discover events that interest you via the DISCOVER tab’s personally curated event swipe card selection. To interact, simply swipe right to mark “Going” to an event, swipe up to mark “Interested,” or swipe left to “Pass.” Every swipe further personalizes your experience so that you are only shown what will interest you! Want to know more information about an event? Just tap it! ANNOUNCEMENTS: See the latest messages and alerts from the organizers you choose to follow! Acting as a virtual noticeboard, you will be relayed news from your selected Event Organizers. EVENTS: Listed under “Today,” “Tomorrow,” and “Later,” find a complete listing of events in chronological order so that you can see everything currently posted and plan your time at Penn accordingly. Indicate your preference as “Going” or “Interested” by simply pressing the “check” or “question mark” button. Want to search for an event, past, present, or future? No problem! Just use the search bar to search by event title. ORGANIZERS: Find Event Organizers you know, or stumble upon new exciting ones. Follow them to receive the latest updates on their status or new event postings. Each Event Organizer profile provides you with up-to-date information, as well as upcoming/past events and announcements. Follow your favorites and get more involved with those hosting events in the Penn community! CALENDAR: View all of your selected events at a glance so that you can plan your day. Review an event’s info and change its status, all with just a touch! SHARE: With a simple tap of the “Share” icon, you can share both events and Event Organizer profiles with your fellow friends and peers. The haPENNings Share Link functionality allows you to copy, text, email (and more!) a unique link that provides direct access to the shared content. For events, opening a haPENNings Share Link will provide you with the option to check in and confirm your attendance by tapping the glowing “Check-In” icon button. haPENNings QR CODE SCANNER: Scan event and Event Organizer QR codes via the DISCOVER tab by pressing the QR symbol in the top right. Upon a successful scan, you will either be shown an event page where you can tap the glowing “Check-In” icon button to confirm your attendance or you will begin following an Event Organizer for future updates. Through haPENNings QR codes, important actions are made quick and easy!
