StreetPix was born out of my personal need to capture the moments under difficult conditions during a people's revolution from November 2013 through February 2014. I found myself startled awake at 3am on the first night of the revolution in November - I lived 100 meters from ground zero. Of course the only camera I had with me when I ran outside was my mobile camera - and as the old saying goes - the best camera to use is the one you have with you. Everywhere one turned there were a hundred different emotions, a hundred different statements to be made - all at the same time. It was as if every cubic foot of air had its own unique perspective and story. The amount of content was overwhelming and I wanted to grab it all as high quality photographs and leave the sorting out and my artistic evaluations for later. You must imagine my disappointment when my early shots failed because for one reason or another during a shooting session I would invariable and unknowingly have touched the screen of my mobile device and some how would be in video mode, or even in some other app completely. Some of my best work was lost forever. In the time since that first night I made myself a dedicated shooting app so I would never miss the moment again, and over time I have continued to refine it.
